Changes in our Business Operation Following the Declaration of a State of Emergency and Countermeasures against the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Following the Declaration of a State of Emergency from Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as a measure to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus infections, the governors of the affected areas (prefectures) issued requests on the same day asking that residents exercise self-restraint from going outside. At the Japan Foundation (JF), most of the staff employed at various offices such as the JF Headquarters (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), the JF Japanese-Language Institute, Urawa (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), the JF Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai (Tajiri-cho, Sennan-gun, Osaka Prefecture), and the JF Kyoto Office (Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) have been working from home since Wednesday, April 8.

As a result, it may not be possible to respond to incoming calls at various departments of JF. We understand that this may cause inconvenience, but your understanding and cooperation would be appreciated.
